Assoc Prof Ifedayo Adetifa

Associate Professor Ifedayo Adetifa (FWACP(Paed), MSc, PhD) received his undergraduate medical training at the University of Ilorin, Kwara, Nigeria and completed residency training in Paediatrics at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, Nigeria, with a fellowship from the West Africa College of Physicians in Paediatrics. He studied for the MSc in Epidemiology and obtained a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prof. Adetifa joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in June 2014 and works overseas as a clinical epidemiologist at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya. 

His research aims to provide evidence for vaccine policy in low- and middle-income countries, especially in Africa. Prof. Adetifa's vaccine policy advisory roles include the Kenyan National Immunisation Coordination Committee, the WHO Regional Office for Africa Regional Immunization Technical Advisory Group (RITAG), the Advisory Group of the WHO Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme, and the WHO Technical Advisory Group on RSV vaccines.
