Does NISH provide services to all NITAGs?
Not to all NITAGs. NISH's mandate is to provide services to National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) in the WHO Africa Region, i.e. in Southern, East and West Africa.
Does NISH provide training courses on demand?
Training on demand is limited and on request only; this is currently an option for the Vaccionolgy Training for NITAGs and training modules for partner courses. For the majority, NISH trainings are hosted as per scheduled dates; online courses can be started and completed anytime.
How much does it cost to attend NISH courses?
NISH training courses and webinars are provided at no cost.
Are NISH training courses accredited?
No, not yet. Currently, NISH training courses are not accredited but will be certified as short courses by the University of Cape Town in future.
Does NISH provide interpretation and translation of training sessions and materials?
Unless stated otherwise, the language of instruction at NISH (for events, training and coursework materials) is English. In instances, critical materials may be selected in consultation with NITAGs and made available in French and Portuguese. The Webinar Series: Vaccinology Africa is a multilingual format with simultaneous interpretation in French and Portuguese.
As a NITAG, can we request ad-hoc assistance from NISH?
Yes, if the NITAG operates in the WHO Africa Region, NISH can provide ad-hoc scientific support. Requests for support can be logged online via the NISH Helpdesk.
