The NISH Fundamentals for Immunisation Advisors (Online) course provides an introduction to vaccinology concepts for evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM). Participants will gain an understanding of specific epidemiological, molecular epidemiological and immunological principles. Through the online format of this course, participants will also learn how to adopt and best utilise e-tools and e-resources in their work.
Course content
The course comprises these modules:
- Module 1: Immunology for non-immunologists
- Module 2: Evaluation of vaccines and immunisation programmes
- Module 3: Ethical and legal issues unique to vaccines and immunisation programmes
- Module 4: Vaccine development, testing and evaluation
- Module 5: Life-course approach to immunisation
- Module 6: Vaccine hesitancy and confidence
Each module comprises lecture recordings and a knowledge assessment.
