Kagisho Montjane
Research project: Pharmacogenetics of tenofovir
Kagisho Montjane is a postgraduate student in the Division of Human Genetics, Pharmacogenetics and Drug metabolism group under the stewardship of Professor Dandara. Born and bred in the rural villages of Limpopo, he finds Cape Town to be a dream destination. He currently works on the pharmacogenetics of tenofovir, a potent mostly used antiretroviral for the treatment and prevention of HIV. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the beach, hiking Table Mountain and relaxing with friends.
