Jade Mader

Jade Mader is a Forensic Toxicologist in the Forensic Toxicology Unit (FTU) within the UCT Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Western Cape Health Forensic Pathology Service. She obtained a BSc degree in Medical Sciences, followed by a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Medical Criminalistics from the University of Pretoria. Jade joined the FTU team in 2019 where she is involved in routine post-mortem forensic toxicology analyses, as well as bioanalytical method development and validation. Her research interests include driving under the influence of drugs and analytical method development for drugs of abuse and pesticides. Jade is registered as a Professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) and is a member of the Toxicology Society of South Africa (TOXSA) and The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT).
