Saori Iwase joined the Division of Immunology (DOI) in May 2019 as a PhD student, she is part of the Dr Heather Jaspan's research group and is originally from Japan. We welcome her with an interview about her plans at the DOI and few titbits about herself.

Correlates of tuberculosis and non-tuberculosis morbidity and immunity in Sub-Saharan African HIV-exposed, uninfected infants

What attracted you to come to the DOI?

Interest in Clinical research and HIV related field

What are your goals at the DOI?

To break out of my comfort zone and extend my knowledge

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

An annoying alarm (and coffee)
