Dr Sabelo Hadebe of the Allergy research group recently hosted a second year MBChB student, Tapiwa Tarwa. Tapiwa worked within the group for a week over mid-December 2018 to learn about what the group covers in relation to allergy.

Tapiwa was lucky enough to be exposed to lung function measurement using Flexivent equipment and various other techniques while with the group. He aims to do an intercalated MBChB programme this year, as a third year student and he will take part in the Molecular Medicine module which is designed for medical students wishing to pursue an Honours degree in the IDI honours programme.

Dr Hadebe and his group we were delighted host Tapiwa and they hope to spend more time in the lab during his next summer break.
