Miss Zimasa Mdlulwa

Zimasa Mdlulwa obtained a BSc Degree in Biochemistry and Genetics (2016) and a BMedSc Honours degree in Human Molecular Biology-Haematology (2018) from University of the Free Sate. In 2017, she joined the division of Human genetics as a NRF intern (2017). After completion of her Honours degree, she rejoined the division as a Research Assistant (2019) for six months. Zimasa is currently pursuing her MSc in Medical Human Genetics with a research project focused on investigating pathogenic variants of polycystic kidney disease in South African patients.
