Mulalo Magaze
Research project: Investigating the interaction of gut microbiome, host genetics with warfarin and antiretroviral therapy in Africans using Pharmacomicrobiomics approach.
Mulalo obtained his undergraduate in BSc (Medical Sciences) at the University of Limpopo in 2017 and majored in Medical Genetics in the fourth year. For his research project, he investigated “Association of obesity-related genetic loci with obesity in black adult females from the Dikgale Health and Demographic Surveillance System centre in the Limpopo Province, South Africa” under the supervision of Prof Kathrine Scholtz. He joined the pharmacogenomics and Drug metabolism research group for MSc (Med) in Human Genetics.
