Yuvika Vandayar
Yuvika Vandayar has achieved a Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Anatomy, followed by a Bachelor of Medical Science (Hons) (Summa Cum Laude) in Physiology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has completed her MPhil Biomedical Forensic Science degree within our Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at the University of Cape Town. As part of the molecular research group, her research focused on sudden unexpected death in young (SUDY).
Ms Vandayar is a member of the Physiology Society of Southern Africa (PSSA) and South African Academy of Forensic Sciences (SAAFS). In her capacity as Scientific Officer, she assists the Biomedical Forensic Science programmes with laboratory and quality management, teaching and research support, health and safety, and administrative aspects. Yuvika also volunteers her time to the community as a member of the Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology Social Committee.
