Salomé Odendaal obtained her medical degree at the University of the Free State.
She worked in various medical environments with exposure to aviation medicine, medical assistance, telemedicine, maritime medicine, and time in Antarctica.

Dr Odendaal views Forensic Pathology as her new adventure and remains fascinated by the different facets it has to offer.

She is currently a registrar within the Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at the Health Sciences Faculty of the University of Cape Town.
