Dr Calvin Mole

Calvin Mole is a Lecturer in the Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, University of Cape Town (UCT) where he has completed his PhD in Biomedical Forensic Science. He has a BSc in Molecular and Cell Biology majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology (UCT), BSc (Med) Hons in Morphological Sciences (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University and was one of the first graduates of the MPhil in Biomedical Forensic Sciences at UCT. He is currently the course convenor for the Forensic Statistics and the Forensic Research Methods courses offered in the MPhil Biomedical Forensic Sciences programme at UCT and also provides lectures in a number of other courses. He is actively involved in medical education and forensic science research. His specialty lies in trauma analysis specifically with reference to the biomechanics associated with bone trauma and a special interest in blunt force trauma.
