Identifying trends in electrocutions seen in the Western Cape from 2011 to 2020, across 17 facilities. Assessing the demographic groups most vulnerable to electrocutions and where intervention strategies can be targeted against these preventable deaths.
A deeper analysis is placed on Salt River Mortuary where patterns of injury and circumstances surrounding the deaths were examined.
