Lehnnie, as he was fondly called in the Division, bade farewell to us at the end of April 2016.  He joined the Division in 2009, as a General Laboratory assistant. Although his main tasks were lab related, he assisted in administration work when the need arose. During the time he was with us, he got married to a lovely lady, Chernay, and is now also a proud daddy. Lehnnie was always full of good cheer, and brought much laughter to the lab, decreasing the “heaviness” of working in busy forensic pathology setting. Always having an eye on a better future, he enrolled in evening classes at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Lehnnnie loved his rugby and cricket and had a knack of winning competitions around cricket and rugby events! We will all miss him, especially the laboratory staff, but we understand his desire to explore other career opportunities.
