A Crawford man's hard work paid off when he received the Forensic Pathology Services‘ User of the Month award. Omar Gallant was awarded the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) user of the Month award for June. This award is given each month to a user who does most of the work in assisting Forensic Pathology Services in driving its ECM programme.

The programme helps to achieve one of the Department of Health’s goals - to provide a quality service to all. Winners are selected by looking at the hits on the department’s Livelink system that will show which user has added the most content and performed the most actions in Livelink.

Mr Gallant, a father of two, has been an employee of the Department of Health for 29 years. He began in 1982 as a messenger, was promoted to a driver, then joined the Auxiliary Service at Forensic Pathology Service in 1996, and a few years later he was promoted to an administration officer.

His Colleague, Zenzeli Zolani, said Mr Gallant is “truly a hardworking and motivated individual, who is committed to service delivery and always finds a solution to assist clients”.

The User of the Month initiative assists the directorate in sharing information across facilities, streamlines the way of capturing, managing, storing and accessing information, reduces the cost of storing documents and the cost of paper, and it helps to decrease misfiles.
