Together with the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS), the Department of Pathology offers the following services through NHLS supported laboratories in Groote Schuur Hospital and Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital: chemical pathology, cytology, genetics, haematology, histopathology, immunology, microbiology, tissue immunology, virology.
Together with Western Cape Government (WCG), the Department of Pathology offers a Forensic Pathology Service through the WCG supported Salt River Academic Centre.
