Words from Newly Registered Medical Scientist, Kagiso Seakamela

My journey from the commencement of the internship was not easy. The internship was the first formal medical scientist post that I had to hold. The introduction to the workforce as the post intended to manage to improve not only my core scientific skills but also my soft skills. The support I received from the entire RXH/GSH and UCT staff is remarkable, I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for them. Compiling and ensuring that all on-bench evidence is ready when preparing for HPCSA submission is the most stressful task you must deal with. One of my biggest dreams was to be an excellent accredited scientist that the health system would one day rely on, and I am happy today that I have passed my HPCSA assessment. Going forward, I will apply and take opportunities that I could not take in the past, even those abroad because I was not linked to any governing body. I promise to hold my oath as a MEDICAL BIOLOGICAL SCIENTIST!! Pipettes are not ready for this guy. |
