Dr Careni Spencer from the UCT Medical Genetics team, together with Kashief Khan and Surita Meldau from the UCT/NHLS IMD lab, at the International Congress of Human Genetics (ICHG 2023) hosted in Cape Town this week.

Their poster celebrates a multidisciplinary collaborative effort to elucidate the underlying cause of disease in a patient with mitochondrial disease, together with multiple other authors from UCT Faculty of Health Sciences, the NWU - North-West University Center for Human Metabolics, as well as private neurology specialists.
