The Division of Chemical Pathology hosted Amica Muller-Nedebock, a PhD candidate from the Division of Molecular Biology and Human Genetics at Stellenbosch University, in September 2021.  Amica conducted part of her laboratory work with the mitochondrial research group in our division.  The work that she successfully performed here focussed on mitochondrial DNA copy number assessments in Parkinsons’ disease patients and controls as part of a larger study looking at mitochondrial involvement in Parkinsons’.
