For the past two weeks, two of our PhD students, Noha and Lufina, have spent two weeks in Uppsala,

Sweden, attending the Uppsala Pharmacometrics Summer School (UPSS). UPSS has taken place on an annual basis since 2011 but have been put on hold for the past few years due to the pandemic. This year the course is back, and Noha and Lufina were given the opportunity to attend. They were also awarded traveling grants from Pharmacometrics Africa.

UPSS is an intensive course comprised of lectures, workshops and poster sessions where the students get to present a project of theirs and receive valuable feedback. Both Noha and Lufina were very happy with the course and the rest of us look forward to hearing more about what they have learnt once they get back to Cape Town.

Uppsala University recently posted a news article about this year’s course, which you can find here.
