Helen Meintjes

Helen came to the APFP in 2019 after many years working in policy research and advocacy at the Children’s Institute, UCT, followed by a role as Head of Programmes at The Children’s Hospital Trust. Working closely with Jo and the Clinical Consultants in the Department, Helen is responsible for coordinating the APFP’s programme strategy and development, overseeing partner and alumni relationships, as well as fundraising and financial management. A true advocate of the APFP, she deeply values collaborating with fellows, alumni, clinical departments and partner centres to facilitate the growth of paediatric healthcare capacity and networks in Africa.
