The Best Practice Project provides children’s nursing teams throughout Africa with the opportunity to improve the quality and safety of care for children and their families by achieving measurably excellent, evidence-based nursing practice.
The first intake of the Best Practice Project ran between February 2022 and November 2023. The project provided ten teams with structured support including three custom-made learning modules, dedicated expert assistance for nursing teams, and individual coaching for project leaders. At the end of their two-year journey, seven teams successfully completed the project and were formally recognised as Africa’s first Best Practice Units.
Teams at these project sites all worked hard to utilise the tools they learned about and are already excited by the potential impact on care outcomes. Click here to see where the Best Practice Project Sites are.
