Dr Abrahams' research in medical education focuses on generating a descriptive analysis of the Anatomy and Physiology curricular
content for the Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy programmes in the Faculty of Health Sciences. In addition, her research involves the development of academic student support programmes and innovative formative learning tools to enhance student understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.

Current Research Projects:

• Development of a formative assessment to establish whether students possess at entry into university the foundational knowledge and skills needed to be successful in their Anatomy and Physiology courses.
• Development and implementation of a peer-facilitated academic support programme to enhancing the success of first year MBChB, Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy students, in Anatomy and Physiology.
• Curriculum analysis and development of the Anatomy and Physiology content for the Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy programmes in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
