The University of Cambridge is seeking an exceptional Research Professor in the field of Bacteriology to build on this established strength and help shape the next phase of bacteriology research at Cambridge. Based within the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease, the successful appointee will establish and lead an internationally recognised research programme that complements and strengthens existing expertise across CITIID, the Department of Medicine and the wider School of Clinical Medicine.

The role offers access to world-class research infrastructure, including containment level 3 laboratories, NHS microbiology links, and collaborations across the University and with partners including the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
