This 40-strong student group has done well, with seven nurses to graduate Cum Laude (‘with distinction’) at the Faculty of Health Science’s graduation on the 16^th December this year. Well done to Elizma Amsterdam, Samantha Meyer, Tracy Ann Castle, Chikondi Chimbatata, Mtisunge Gondwe, Thobeka Duma and Laneshree Govender for your excellent results. All your hard work has certainly paid off!

Congratulations must also go to Ester Husselman, John Mhango and Abeiku Yankson who received distinctions for two of the four subjects offered by the Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative in 2014.

Twenty-one (21) children’s nurses and nineteen (19) critical care children’s nurses will soon return to their sending institutions in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State and Kwazulu Natal, and even further afield to Malawi, Namibia, Ghana, Tanzania and Botswana, to assist in strengthening and supporting the children’s nursing care services offered across sub-Saharan Africa.
