Students Awarded the Marjorie McIntosh Postgraduate Bursary in Child Nursing and Midwifery

Postgraduate Child and Critical Care Child nursing students, Laneshree Govender, Thobeka Duma and Zanele Sapepo, attended a lunch held in their honour this week as the first award recipients of the newly-established Marjorie McIntosh Postgraduate Bursary in Child Nursing and Midwifery.

 "The Bursary Programme has been established by the McIntosh family, in memory of their mother, Mrs Marjorie McIntosh, who taught and advised underprivileged mothers how to maintain and restore the health of their babies/infants [in Africa]." (Donor Report 2014)

Laneshree, Thobeka and Zanele were joined by representatives from the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative, UCT Development and Alumni Department and the UCT Australian Trust to officially launch the Alumni Bursary Programme activities.
