CHDRU Team Visits E.A. Janari Primary School During Rheumatic Fever Week

As part of Rheumatic Fever Week, the CHDRU (Children’s Heart Disease Research Unit) team visited E.A. Janari Primary School to raise awareness about rheumatic fever amongst learners from Grade 4 to Grade 7. The team delivered an engaging and informative presentation, focusing on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of rheumatic fever and general heart health in a child-friendly and interactive manner.

The learners showed great interest throughout the session, actively participating and answering questions based on the presentation. The positive response from both learners and staff made the visit a resounding success. CHDRU is proud to have contributed to increasing awareness and understanding of rheumatic fever and heart health in the community and looks forward to continuing such impactful outreach efforts in the future.
