BMRC Research Scholarship Winners Announced

Winners of the inaugural Bongani Mayosi Collaborative for Cardiovascular Disease Research Excellence in Africa (BMRC) research scholarships were announced late last week following an overwhelming response to the call.

The four research scholarship winners are:

• Dr Proscovia Mujeere Mugaba of Uganda
• Dr Ruqayya Nasir Sani of Nigeria
• Ms Jenifer Atala of Uganda
• Dr Edith Delewe Majonga of Zimbabwe

The four runner ups are:

• Dr Temesgen Tsega Desta of Ethiopia
• Dr Valirie Agbor Ndip of Cameroon
• Dr Clara Damascene Makatu of Tanzania
• Dr Jane Okutiru of Uganda
