CARA projects represented at INSAR 2025 in Seattle, USA

CARA was well represented at the annual International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) conference, held in Seattle, USA. Three posters were presented, two highlighting developments in the TANDem Project and one describing qualitative findings for the global PET project.
Regarding the TANDem Project, one poster shared findings from the validation study of the TAND-SQ, a self-report version of the TAND Checklist designed to support individuals and families in identifying TAND challenges. The second presentation focused on the TAND Toolkit App, a mobile-health project developed to make evidence-informed support more accessible. Early results suggest strong feasibility and acceptability of the app among users. Dr Liezl Schlebusch presented both of the these posters on behalf of the TAND Consortium.
Regarding the global PET project, the poster described South African and Russian stakeholder perspectives on the development of a globally relevant family support porgramme for young autistic children and was presented by team member Dr Gala Morozova.
