Maame Amoako from Duke University conducts research with the ACACIA study team
Maame spent May 2024 in Cape Town, where she worked with the ACACIA study team under the direction and mentorship of Lauren Franz, MBChB, MPH, the ACACIA project PI. Maame analyzed responses to the Parenting Stress Index (PSI), a survey used to measure levels of caregiver stress and then conducted face-to-face interviews with caregivers. Maame's findings will help the ACACIA team adapt the PSI to this cultural context to improve our ability to assess caregivers’ stress and resilience. Read more about her experience here.
