Prof Petrus de Vries presides over first INSAR conference held in the southern hemisphere
A very successful INSAR conference was held in Melbourne Australia in May 2024. President of INSAR, Prof de Vries, wrote how hosting the INSAR annual meeting in Australia made it easier for researchers, clinicians and advocates from the Western Pacific Region to participate. Read more about how this is making research in autism more diverse here. Nearly half of the participants were from the Western Pacific region, and nearly 10% of attendees self-identified as autistic. In addition, this was the first INSAR conference with a keynote address by an autistic researcher, Wenn Lawson. Congratulations to Prof de Vries and everyone who made this event so successful!
