Tamara Ray

Tamara joined the group as a PhD candidate in June 2025.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Genetics, and Biochemistry from Bangalore University (India), an MRes in Molecular Biomedicine from Newcastle University (UK), and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Modeling from Uppsala University (Sweden).

Prior to her PhD, she spent over eight years as a senior scientist and consultant in quantitative systems pharmacology, contributing to projects in oncology, immunology, and autoimmune diseases. She also gained hands-on research experience through academic projects and internships in Sweden and the UK.

Her doctoral research focuses on quantitative modeling of infectious diseases using nonlinear mixed-effects (NLME) approaches, with the goal of addressing real-world challenges.
