Research Data Management is the practice which, when followed, ensures data for research is of consistently high quality, meets regulatory, legal and funder requirements, and ensures the security, authenticity and future availability of the data.

Which data management systems are available at UCT? The eResearch team at ICTS hosts several web-based clinical data management systems that are available to UCT researchers. More details about the different systems that are available can be found here (requires authentication).

What can the CRC offer? The CRC offers free advice and mentoring, as well as training opportunities around data management (watch out for ads in the Faculty Infomailer or on this website.) We can also assist with database design/build or other data management tasks on a fee-for-services basis. If you would like to meet with us to discuss your study please email us to set up an appointment.
