We aim to promote universal access to surgical care, social justice and health equity, by strengthening surgical health systems and promoting a community-centred approach.

We recognise that the quality of healthcare is determined by social, economic, and political factors. We aim to address the social determinants of health by providing  vulnerable and underserved populations with access to comprehensive surgical care.

Our advocacy efforts have four pillars:

  • Community engagement and health promotion
  • Public engagement on access to healthcare
  • Diplomacy and supporting the development of policies surgical, obstetric and anaesthesia plans locally, nationally, regionally and globally.
  • Representing vulnerable and marginalised populations
