Ms Zama Mngadi

Zama has investigated short tandem repeat (STR) loci for her MSc Medicine (Genomics and Bioinformatics) dissertation. Zama is also interested in the utility of exome sequencing as a test for these STR loci, using ExpansionHunter as the genotyping tool. A critical agenda of the unit and Zama’s study is to enhance the under-representation of African populations in genomics; this is her why.
