Ms Amokelani Mahungu

Amo is a PhD candidate passionate about uncovering the genetic causes of rare neuromuscular diseases such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and hereditary spastic paraplegia in African populations. Through next-generation sequencing, she aims to improve genetic diagnosis and contribute to more equitable research and care for people affected by these conditions.
