Fieldnotes is our platform for promoting critical health social science research in the field of public health. Fieldnotes tries to bring academic research and intellectual debates to a wider audience. This work is important, but it is also difficult, and academics are generally not taught how to write about their ideas in this way. Fieldnotes aims to provide an opportunity not only for a broader audience to engage with issues and debates in the health social sciences but also for our students and staff to develop capacity in this kind of knowledge translation. We hope that it will become a trusted resource for anyone interested in learning about the research, staff and students connected to DSBS.
