Myrto Georgantoni

PhD Student

Myrto Georgantoni joined the group as a PhD candidate in 2026.

She holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Patras (2023) and an MSc in Drug Discovery and Development from Uppsala University (2025), with a specialization in Pharmacometrics. Her master’s thesis, “Model-Based Biosimilarity Assessments for Regulatory Decision-Making: A Simulation-Based Modelling and Simulation Study,” was conducted in collaboration with the Swedish Medical Products Agency as part of an EMA/FDA pilot programme.

Following her MSc, Myrto completed two internships at Roche, where she worked on translational pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) modelling of siRNAs, ASOs, and small-molecule compounds using preclinical and clinical data.

Her current research focuses on the application of nonlinear mixed-effects modelling to characterize the PK and PD of antimalarial medicines, with particular emphasis on pediatric populations.
