In May 2025, we set aside our daily demands and stepped away from our desks, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the jungle for a truly meaningful team-building experience. It was a time not only to connect as colleagues, but to reconnect as people; to laugh, reflect, and grow together in a setting that reminded us of the value of unity and shared purpose.

We were incredibly grateful to our hosts at Monkey Valley Resort for their warm welcome and generous hospitality, which created the perfect space for this experience to unfold. A heartfelt thank you to Candice Hankey for guiding us through a thoughtful and engaging workshop that brought out the best in each of us. And to Dr Amy Ward, Erica Boshoff and Prof Graeme Meintjes, your effort in organising this experience did not go unnoticed. It was deeply appreciated and made a lasting impact on VUKA.

We may have arrived on different ships, but we left knowing we were in the same boat, stronger, more connected, and moving forward together.
