On 13 November 2025, Vuka organised a launch for an upcoming trial to engage the young women and young men of Khayelitsha in a crucial conversation about the future of HIV preventative research with an emphasis on improving choice and equitable access to the next generation of preventative medicines. The agenda was packed, with the goal of bringing together all community health experts, advocates, and opinion formers to inspire the youth to action towards their health. Of course, it would not be possible without the collaboration with our passionate and dedicated fellow stakeholders who have a vested interest in the wellbeing of our community, the Vuka CAG, Emthonjeni Counselling & Training and Local Government. In addition, we also enjoyed performances by Isibane se Afrika who kept us entertained throughout the event. Thanks to everyone that attended the event and your invaluable support.
