A research journey from balancing Parkinson’s to therapeutic tremors

Dr Elizma Atterbury will talk about her research journey from balancing training for individuals with Parkinson’s disease during her MSc to her doctorate studies exploring a novel body-based stress management modality that utilised therapeutic tremors (called TRE – Trauma and tension releasing exercises). Through this research journey, Elizma will highlight how her involvement in research has had its own unfolding process, and why stress management matters. In discussing the therapeutic possibility of neurogenic tremors, there are many more answers and applications that can be explored.
