Advancing Health Professions Education Through Social Responsiveness

In collaboration with Oxford University, three staff in our department (Dr Natashia Muna, Ms Taahira Goolam Hoosen and Prof Francois Cillers) were awarded 2 years of funding towards their project ‘Papers with Purpose’. The aim of the project is to capacitate early career Health Professions Education Scholars in Southern Africa to write with impact. The first cohort of Papers with Purpose has successfully completed the programme. The PwP team are currently recruiting participants for the next cohort (see details here.

The FHS Writing Lab published an Op-Ed in the WLN Blog which is an international Writing Centre Scholarship Journal. This reflexive piece is focused on a critical discussion of AI and Authorial Identity that Health Professions Educators should be cognisant of when engaging AI use with students.
