The inaugural FHS Squash Competition was a fantastic showcase of sporting talent and Faculty spirit. Congratulations to Michael Goldschagg, who claimed the title with outstanding athleticism, tenacity and sportsmanship. Prof Richard Naidoo, a veteran squash player and long-time friend of Abdu, was the runner-up. Their thrilling final had spectators captivated from start to finish.

With more than 200 active squash players at FHS, the enthusiastic support from colleagues showed just how strong our squash community is.

A special thank you to Melvin Lawrence for his vision, planning, and dedication in making the competition possible, as well as to Kevin Onrust, Muneeb Adonis, Bianca Fowler, and the squash committee members for their support.

We would also like to thank all the players who competed, Carmelita Sylvester for keeping score, as well as Dr Earle du Plooy and the Dean, Prof Lionel Green-Thompson, for their continued support of the courts and the competition.

Finally, our sincere thanks to Nelson Maharaj for his generous support in making the event possible.

Thank you for making Staff Wellness Day a success!
