Meet Dr. Marcia Vermeulen, Research officer at Vuka Research Clinic and a supernumerary public health registrar (UCT). I hold a MBChB (Stell), a Diploma in HIV management (CMSA) and a Master's in Public Health (UCT).

My research focuses on HIV and tuberculosis, with the aim of preventing disease, improving treatment outcomes and ultimately improving participants' well-being.

Outside of work, I am a wife and a mother of two young children, Emily and Declan, who bring me great joy!
