Prof Allan Taylor promoted to Head of Clinical Unit

Associate Professor Allan Taylor has been promoted to a newly created Head of Clinical Unit (Principal Specialist) post. Prof Taylor, who established the neurointerventional service at GSH following training with Professor Pierre Lajaunias in Paris, is an internationally respected leader in the field. Together with Dr David Le Feuvre, he hosted the 11th biennial World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology meeting in 2011 and serves on the faculty of the benchmark course in the field, the PLANET course convened by the Universities of Toronto, Canada and Mahidol, Thailand.

In announcing the news to the Division, GSH CEO Dr Bhavna Patel paid tribute to the world-class work done by this unit and expressed the sentiments of many in saying that his promotion was long overdue!
