Malobogo Ngoepe very recently joined BMBL as postdoctoral researcher. Malebogo obtained her BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 2009 with a final year project on the computational study of venous blood flow. Awarded with a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, Malebogo moved to the University of Oxford in 2010. There, she pursued her PhD with research investigating, through computational modelling, the formation of thrombus in cerebral aneurysms with Prof Yiannis Ventikos. At BMBL, Malebogo will apply her expertise in computational fluid mechanics in our research on biomaterial and cell therapies for myocardial infarction while also continuing her research in thrombosis formation with the University of Oxford and the University College London.
