Ms Zahra Parker
Zahra Parker is a 4th year medical student at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She completed her Bachelor of Medical Science Honours degree in Human Genetics, as part of the UCT Intercalated BMedSc(Honours)-MBChB Programme.
In her Honours year, she was a recipient of the Harry Crossley Foundation Scholarship. She is a Research, Advocacy, and Innovation (RAI) Fellow at the UCT Division of Global Surgery, and recently served as Deputy Chair of the Scientific Committee for the 3rd International Congress of Innovations in Global Surgery Conference.
In her time as a student, she has served as a class representative and as Secretary General, Vice President, and President of the UCT Surgical Society. She maintains a keen interest in global health.
