Ms Khwezi Zwane
Khwezi Zwane is a 5th year medical student at the University of Cape Town. She is currently the Chairperson of the United Nations Association of South Africa – UCT Chapter, exploring and promoting the interdisciplinary implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special emphasis on empowering young African student leaders through diplomacy and community engagement.
She is a Research, Advocacy and Implementation (RAI) Fellow in the UCT Division of Global Surgery. Her passion for global surgery was ignited during her tenure on the UCT Surgical Society committee, first as Head of Global Surgery then later as Vice President Internal. Through her multifaceted engagements, Khwezi demonstrates her commitment to foster collaboration across disciplines to advance healthcare in Africa and beyond
