Dr Charmaine Cunningham
Charmaine recently completed a PhD that considered the adaptive capability of the interprofessional clinical teams in the Eastern Cape, South Africa as a complex adaptive system from a sense-making lens. This work builds on her career working in transdisciplinary spaces. Charmaine’s qualifications include a PhD, MBA, BTech Management and Clinical qualifications in Critical Care Nursing and Paramedicine. She works in the Division of Emergency Medicine, where she is the programme convenor for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Emergency Care. Charmaine has been involved in improving access to care in South Africa and other African countries including Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, Angola, Ethiopia, the DRC and Tanzania.
