Our department continues contributing to cutting-edge research in health professions education, with recent publications exploring innovative teaching strategies, student engagement, assessment methods, and faculty development. Notable studies from 2024 include investigations into medical student learning in online surgical programmes, mentorship models in health professions education, and the role of simulation in capacity building across Africa. Our 2023 research addressed competency-based assessment, student belonging, and novel pedagogical approaches in clinical education.
